The Company

Transport consulting firm VCL GmbH was demerged in 1994 from the planning and investment department of transport operator LVB. Its experience in planning and supervising transport infrastructure schemes such as laying track and building depots now stretches back several decades.

In recent years VCL´s profile has expanded and has currently now 28 staff members. These days, it is a contractor performing a wide range of work in planning, construction supervision, controlling, operation and consulting for public and private local transport systems in and abroad on behalf of transport operators and local authorities. As part of the LVB Group, VCL also brings to its work the experiences of a public transport operator with reorganisation and transformation processes as they relate to the new demands being made on the market.

In project work VCL can avail itself of the high level of specialist knowledge within the LVB Group and thus has access to the ideal combination of professional, engineering and planning knowledge with the practical know-how of the operational and maintenance divisions of a major local transport company.
VCL has several fully trained tram construction and operation managers. Their cross-sectional know ledge and multiple competencies coupled with the firm´s extensive expertise enables VCL to offer individual solutions tailored to its clients´ needs.
